wall preverbs

wall preverbs comprise an approach to installing preverbs as site-specific one-liners. The first of these installations was called a transvironment after a concept I developed in 1981 — my earliest discussion is related to The Book of Bean by Alison Knowles: link here for a facsimile of the piece Transvironmental Book (1982) — and occurred in 1996 in the group show “In This Time and Place,” curated by Linda Weintraub at the College Art Gallery of SUNY New Paltz, New York. (The College Art Gallery later evolved into the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art where one of the installations below took place.) Other wall preverbs installations are linked below.

Note that in the Dorsky and Slought installations below the wall preverbs are part of a larger axial art show of my work that includes axial stones, drawings, and video.
